Heads up, indiscriminate freeloaders: tomorrow, instead of dutifully lapping up the dregs of the coffee in your break room, you can score yourself something slightly better: free Starbucks. The folks over at Flavorpill tell us they’re teaming with the ‘bucks and Lyft to deliver free bottles of ice coffee between noon and 5pm. Just go into “SBUX” mode on your Lyft map, request a sample and it’ll be delivered in minutes (though the promotion is subject to “driver availability”).

We’re not saying you should look a gift horse in its coffee-stained teeth, but if you find yourself drinking the ‘buck’s Kool Aid in addition to its bevy and thinking about actually buying it sometime, you may want to read this Post item first: the paper reveals that artist Maya Hayuk, last seen doing her thing at the Coney Art Walls, is suing the company in Manhattan federal court for at least $750,000. The Greenpoint resident’s copyright infringement lawsuit alleges that an ad agency working with Starbucks talked to her about using her artwork only to put a “strikingly similar” design on their Mini Frapuccino cups after Hayuk told them she didn’t have time to collaborate. Clearly, that left a bitter taste in her mouth.

So much for Starbucks being a patron of the North Brooklyn arts?
