This week, the haters are saying that fro yo spots are “dying like flies,” but nobody told Fancy Juice. The new spot at 69 First Avenue, just above East Fourth Street, celebrates its grand opening today with a “buy one, get one half off” special on drinks like fresh juice, smoothies, shakes, and bubble tea. And rest assured, fro yo is on the way.
“We offer healthy and tasty drinks for the people,” says Jun Jia, who co-owns the juice bar with her husband, Bo Jia. The couple owned a juice bar on 14th Street for 10 years and lives across the street from their new space, which formerly belonged to Burkina. “We offer some really healthy stuff with berries and greens – things that keep your body balanced.”

For the less nutritionally inclined, Fancy Juice also offers dessert crepes that can be dressed with berries, bananas, Nutella and whipped cream. Frozen yogurt and shaved ice will be added to the menu in the next couple of weeks.
“This is gonna be my second home,” one customer told Jia during our visit today. He took a sip of his smoothie as he left the store and gave her a thumbs up. “Good, very good!”
Here’s the menu.
