There’s no such thing as a free lunch but there is free dessert. Tomorrow, May 28, the folks at the Full Moon festival are giving away ice cream sandwiches, made by Brooklyn-based caterer Bar de Jar, from a truck that’ll be parked in front of Café Select in Soho from 1pm to 4pm and then outside of Roberta’s in Bushwick from 5pm to 8pm. We’re not sure what the ice cream sandos have to do with the fifth installment of Full Moon – which will bring dancey acts like Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, Mothxr, and Yelle to Governor’s Island on August 1 – but we’ll take em.
The freebies don’t end there: every Wednesday, Williamsburg “farm-to-fork eatery” A.W.O.L. is comping desserts such as tres-leches tiramisu and apple rangoons to diners who check in on social media and buy anything, be it dinner or a glass of vino.
