A man was rushed to the hospital after he was shot in Alphabet City Saturday night.
The 31-year-old victim was shot in the right hand just after 10:30 p.m. at Szold Place, on East 12th Street between Avenue C and Avenue D, according to the police. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
Recent crime statistics show there had been two shootings in the East Village this year.
