At Greenpoint Gallery Night on Friday, the eye candy wasn’t just on the walls. We did some gallery hopping and asked some artists what they were wearing.

I’m wearing a Stormy Kromer hat purchased from In God We Trust, in the neighborhood, but local to Michigan. The sweater is a Norwegian fishing sweater that was my father’s. I’ve been wearing it for a long, long time. The scarf is Hickory’s, made by Hillside. I like to support the local shops.

Right now I’m wearing a custom Street Shadows t-shirt that I made myself. My jeans are from Uniqlo and I’m wearing a heat-tech long sleeve from Uniqlo as well because it’s cold outside even though it’s the first day of spring.

I’m wearing maternity clothing because I’m 30 weeks pregnant with twins! I’m wearing an H&M black-and-white striped shirt and H&M maternity pants. The blazer is not maternity, the blazer is French Connection. I’m not sure where I got my shoes from, online somewhere.

I’m wearing a ring from Istanbul that my mom got for me. I got my glasses from a store on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg but I don’t remember where. I just needed a new pair of glasses! The sweater is from a boutique in Chicago. The jeans are from my mom, we’re the same size. She buys things and I end up wearing them.

I bought this shirt from Free People specifically for this occasion. I thought that it would a cool-girl-artist-all-black statement and a little relaxed and casual. Very demonstrative of myself. My skirt is from American Apparel, which I consider a uniform part. I wear it with everything. I’m wearing black socks from American Apparel, which I have 50 pairs of. It’s a constant, it’s uniform, I wake up put them on and I don’t have to think about it because they go with everything. I have these fry motorcycle boots that I’ve had for about seven years. They are worn to the bone and they are kinda my thing. My jewelry is from Madewell and J.Crew. One of the artists gave me a perfectly pink blushed rose and I have adorned it behind my ear. I wear the same lipstick everyday called L’Exuberante from Chanel. I wear the same things everyday and it works really well. I like waking up everyday and knowing exactly what I do. With what I’m wearing, I feel very confident and climate controlled.
