Greenpoint got its first apothecary and juice bar back in October and now Williamsburg is getting one — with gluten-free crepes thrown in. Pourqoui pas?

After stints at pop-ups like the Vegan Shop Up and a Kickstarter video in which she showed off her skydiving skillz, Brooklyn-bred model Julia Kravets has found a storefront for Little Choc Apothecary, which she’s billing as “NYC’s first fully vegan crêperie and tea room.” It’s just a block down from Semilla, which may just make Havemeyer Street a destination for vegetarians.

Kravets says she adopted veganism while trying to find a way to stay fit for her modeling career and eventually became determined to “make healthy, cruelty-free food delicious.” At Little Choc, she’s serving crepes made with egg-, dairy-, and gluten-free batter. The “delicious” part: toppings like organic preserves, scrambled tofu, coconut bacon, pumpkin-curried tempeh from Brooklyn-based Barry’s Tempeh, and a vegan hazelnut spread she’s calling Newtella.

There are also baked goods, juices, Toby’s Estate espresso drinks made with raw-almond or coconut milk, and what’s described as an “apothecary-like selection of house blended teas,” featuring a choice of over 100 herb varieties that are kept in jars on the wall. “Our guests have the freedom to request off menu, personalized tea blends based on their health, or taste preferences,” Kravets says in the press release.
