Dudes, prepare to accessorize! A store that sells beard scent balm, mustache-emblazoned whiskey stones, and “Bitch don’t kill my vibe” calling cards is coming to East 10th Street.
The Lodge began online two years ago and now peddles products — like a “get lucky” tobacco-scented “man candle” — at 67 West Street in Greenpoint.
Chad Beightol, president of the company, told us he was eating at Rai Rai Ken one day when he saw the tiny space that used to belong to Oko gallery for rent next door. On October 15, he’ll add some ‘merican flavor to the block that’s also home to Japanese spots Hi-Collar, Curry-Ya, Shabu-Tatsu and Iron Sushi.
The Lodge works with more than 50 American brands, including Noho newcomer Filson, Greenpoint’s Maxx & Unicorn, and the East Village’s own Blind Barber (their Tompkins Square Park-inspired candle is available online). You can learn all about them via blog posts like “Stationary for the Rogue Gentleman” and “Just For the Articles” (about the store’s vintage Playboy collection).
From leather wallets and pocket knives to grooming products, most of the goods are in the $20 to $100 range.
The Lodge will be open at 220 East 10th Street, between First and Second Aves., weekdays and Saturdays from 12-8 PM and Sundays from 12-7 PM.
