Lower East Side designer Jeff Ng (aka jeffstaple) — the visionary behind the Staple Pigeon fashion line and the Reed Space boutique — has teamed up with Shake Shack for a limited edition t-shirt and concrete flavor. If that sounds like some weirdness, get this: Doughnut Plant is also involved.
Shake Shack seems to be getting hipper and hipper these days, what with the music fest and Momofuku burger it did for its 10th anniversary. For this collab, they’re offering a t-shirt designed by Ng ($23) as well as sunglasses ($35) designed by Ng, Shake Shack, and Knockaround. As for the limited-edition Staple Concrete, available at various Shake Shack locations till Sept. 21, it contains vanilla frozen custard blended with raspberry jam and chunks of black sesame glazed cake doughnut made by Doughnut Plant. (In a press release, Staple notes that he’s a “die-hard Doughnut Plant fan because I’m a 15-year resident of the Lower East Side, where they’re located”).
Here’s a look at the tee, available online.
