Till recently, Manhattanites have had to trek out to the Brooklyn Night Bazaar in Greenpoint to play mini golf while browsing noshes and knick-knacks, but now — just in time for the G-train shutdown! — they can do it right in their backyard. The Hester Street Fair just announced that it’s installing a 9-hole mini golf course in Seward Park.

Combined with the one that recently came to the FiDi, that makes two downtown mini golf courses, though this one will only be up Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There won’t be black lights at Hester’s course, but the marketeers are building graffiti-tagged LES-themed obstacles such as the Williamsburg Bridge and tenements complete with clotheslines. Some of the props will be about waist-high, says Hester’s Suhyun Pak.

No, it won’t be quite as insane as Monster Mini Golf (as the photos below go to show) but hey, a round will cost ya nuthin’, with Hester providing the putters and score cards.
