In the video for “Summer Bummer” (off of the new Dead Stars album Slumber, currently streaming live here), a puppet sets out from Williamsburg to Rockaway in a journey that’s about as ill-fated as the one you’ll see in Fort Tilden tonight. That is, until he encounters the guys from Dead Stars and turns into a veritable Animal from The Muppets.
No word on whether the puppet will join the band onstage during their record release party at Union Pool this Thursday, or during their set at 4Knots July 12, or on tour with fellow Brooklynites Sharkmuffin. We vote yes.
