The LES has been feeling festive lately. First Lower East Side History month brought 80 things to do (the latest: the Feed Me a Story project, which has been collecting memories and recipes of favorite dishes from Lower East Side seniors, will present its work at a potluck lunch Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m. at the park at 33 East First Street. Then there’ll be a reception for Lexi Bella’s “Heroines of the LES” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Prima). And now DayLife has announced its lineup when it returns June 1.
From noon to 5 p.m., the third installment of the annual street-fair-that-doesn’t-suck will once again throw down the Astroturf on Orchard Street, between East Houston and Delancey Streets, for bocce ball, DJ lessons, live music, and pet portraits by Carlos Arteaga. Oh, and food. Lots of food. Here’s the full list of vendors, courtesy of the Lower East Side Business Improvement District.
