Police say they’ve arrested the man who shot and killed an 18-year-old on Avenue D last summer.
Deeontay Moore was gunned down outside of the Jacob Riis Houses, in the East Village, on the night of July 20. Witnesses said he took a bullet to the head when someone on a bike fired into a crowd.
Police now say that an ongoing investigation has led to the arrest of Allah Dajon, a 21-year-old resident of the Baruch Houses on the Lower East Side. He faces charges of second-degree murder.
Dajon was previously arrested on assault charges in 2011.
